The National Life Story Network website, launched on 12 February 2010 at a conference in Leeds, has a new home. NMHDU provided space on the web for the initial network launch. Work behind the scenes to complete a stand alone website has now been completed.
Creating life stories can be a very useful tool for working with people with cognitive or mental health problems, especially in later life. The network aims to promote the sharing of practice and innovations in the use of Life Stories in health and social care. Touch screen technology and specially designed applications open up a new world of opportunities for people with memory problems.
The network can be found at www.lifestorynetwork.org.uk and you can register as a member of the network on the new website here.
